Why did you choose the Highlands?
The neighborhood actually chose me. I looked at dozens of homes in several neighborhoods, exploring everything from Mayfair to Wash Park, over to Platt Park and finally found my dream home in Highlands. At first I thought it was just too far away from everything, but now I realize it’s right where I want to be!
What are your favorite local places?
I absolutely love the walkability of my neighborhood. Favorite places are Matador, Block & Larder, Cat Cafe, Highlands Vet, Carousel Cleaners, Sprouts, and the biscuits at Atomic Cowboy….yum!
What do you love about Denver?
The kooky weather, nice people and the fact that everything is so outdoor focused. I’m a big hiker so enjoy the close proximity to the mountains, I’m up there most weekends. I love the food/music/art scene, always something new to experience. The sense of community is something I haven’t found in other places I have lived.

Laid back, outdoorsy, eclectic
How would you describe the personality or vibe of your neighborhood?
Eclectic, strong sense of community, local feel. Tennyson street feels like a small town, I just love it!

I’m very outgoing and personable, love to get out and experience new things and meet new people.
