Downtown Denver offers a unique blend of vibrancy and excitement that cannot be found elsewhere. It is a melting pot that brings about opportunities to visit and interact with Denver locals, as well as others who may be experiencing Denver’s greatness for the very first time.
What About This Neighborhood Jives with Your Business Culture or Your Lifestyle?
When I started my business over twenty years ago, there was a misconception that all gift baskets were very “cottage” in style. I wanted to break that stereotype by offering tasteful and elegant gifts that were filled with products including wine, fine foods and personalized keepsakes and mementos. The sophisticated business culture that existed downtown provided a target audience for me that embraced my product and that inspired my creativity.
What Inspired the Look of Your Business?
In March of 1996, when I was just launching my business, National Geographic unveiled one of its best selling magazine covers and articles documenting Emperor Penguins. This inspired a passion for creating a business model that centered on creating a life-long “family” as opposed to a business. This concept inspired the logo that I still use today featuring an Emperor Penguin!
What Aspect of Your Business Are You Most Passionate About?
I am truly passionate about creating and maintaining a successful small business. I also love the creative opportunity to take each unique order and to meld its components into a seamless and memorable gift.
