Hi Courtney! Can you describe your journey leading up to owning “Ra Aesthetics”?
Hi, I’m Courtney Ra, a Nurse Practitioner with 16 years of experience in healthcare. Most of my career has been in the NICU taking care of the tiniest, sickest babies which has been incredibly rewarding. After years of providing compassionate care to newborns and their families, I’ve transitioned my passion for helping others into the world of aesthetics. As I started to age myself (I’m 38 now), I became more and more passionate about self-care and aging well. My husband’s family has been in the skincare industry for 22 years & he worked as their marketing director for many years, so our skill sets combined led us to open Ra Aesthetics.
My goal is to help you look and feel your best, inside and out, for years to come. I truly believe that good skin and overall wellness are key to boosting confidence and embracing your best self. At my Medspa, I combine my clinical expertise with a deep understanding of how important self-care is for overall well-being. Whether you’re looking for subtle enhancements or a complete skin transformation, I’m here to guide you every step of the way.

I am originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana and spent my early adult years in the DC/Virginia area where I met my husband. We have moved a few times (Maryland, Louisiana, Michigan) and ultimately have settled in Denver because nothing beats the weather & vibes here!
We chose our office at Colfax & York because we found the best space in the historic Savageau building with gorgeous wood floors, exposed brick walls & beautiful chandeliers that made us feel at home. It is located in the perfect little nook between City Park West, Congress Park & Capitol Hill. There are countless Med Spas in Cherry Creek or downtown, but not very many in this area & we are so excited to serve the people of Denver in the neighborhoods they know and love.
Tell us more about your spa! What services do you offer?
Ra Aesthetics is a Med Spa that offers the best technology and advanced aesthetic procedures with a special focus on Korean skincare and treatments. Our Med Spa currently offers neurotoxins (Jeuveau), VI Peel chemical peels, laser skin resurfacing, laser tattoo removal, laser hair removal, customized Korean facials, LED Red Light Therapy and our signature Glass Skin Treatment which is Radiofrequency (RF) Microneedling with Rejuran Salmon DNA. Our skincare products are high quality, science-based, Korean and American brands that focus on nourishing your skin and protecting from environmental stressors.
We will be expanding our services over the next month or two to include more wellness therapies such as Vitamin injections, NAD+, IV Therapy, weight loss medications, and more! Stay tuned for many exciting things to come!
What are your most popular services?
Our most popular services are Jeuveau (who doesn’t love a little tox?!) and RF Microneedling with Salmon DNA. The ‘salmon facials’ are hugely popular now & we carry the best brand straight from Korea that extracts sperm (yes, sperm) from wild salmon and uses their patented technology to refine the highest purity hydrolyzed salmon DNA. Salmon DNA is 95% biocompatible with human DNA and stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, two essential proteins that maintain skin elasticity and firmness. This treatment leads to improved skin texture, reduced wrinkles, overall skin regeneration and radiance – the ultimate Korean Glass Skin.
What challenges have you faced along your journey?
The biggest challenge has been shifting from the ’employee’ to the ’employer’ mindset & honing in on what’s important. My top priority has always been providing the best client experience and patient care to every single person we treat – that part comes easy to me. Learning the balance between patient care & business ownership has been a challenging, but rewarding journey so far. I cannot wait for even more personal and professional growth in the years to come!
How would you describe the personality or “Vibe” of Denver?
I would say that Denver’s Vibe is laid-back, fun, welcoming and giving. I have met so many people here that genuinely want to help others & it is so inspiring!
Any Events Coming Up?
We have our first event coming up at Ra Aesthetics on February 28th at 11:00 AM! We are having a Mardi Gras themed brunch party to show off our space, celebrate our wonderful clients, and meet more beautiful people of Denver. There will be raffles with amazing prize packages, New Orleans themed food and music, and fun local vendors that we love partnering with.
