Hi Dana! Can you introduce yourself to our readers and how your style influences “Lariat”? 

  •  Im Dana Ford-Burger, I’ve lived in Denver for 10 years, I am a wife and a mom of 3 beautiful kids!  I’m from California, but lived in NYC for 11 years, so my style reflects that of California easiness mixed with dramatic statement items that remind me of my days in NYC.

Are you from Colorado? Which neighborhood did you eventually choose to call home?

  •  Not a native, Cali raised and spent most of my 20s in NYC. I lived in Berkeley for 10 years and we just moved to Evergreen so our kids could have more space!

Where are your Businesses “Lariat” and Belle Lumina located?

  •   Both Lariat. and Belle Lumina are located on Tennyson Street in the Berkeley Neighborhood.

Can you tell us about your Brand New Apothecary “Belle Lumina”? 

  •   We have just opened our space dedicated to Apothecary, Beauty, Fragrance and Home called Belle Lumina. We carry everything from mens home fragrance to new mama postpartum care items. I try really hard to source from faire trade and ethical makers, many of our products come from Southeast Asia, Greece, France and the UK.! We have so much appreciation for our customers that have followed our journey from opening during covid to now opening a new Apothecary boutique!

What are some of your favorite pieces at Lariat right now? 

  • We love all our styles from Rue Stiic from AU made in Bali, gorgeous design, fit and detail.

How would you describe the Personality or “Vibe” of Denver? 

  • Definitely sporty laid back with a bohemian twist.
