What neighborhood do you live in?

I live in Jefferson Park and have been here for 5 years. Before that, I lived in Sunnyside, but I definitely prefer Jefferson Park. It is the last neighborhood to get a makeover in the city it seems.

Why did you choose this neighborhood?

It’s close to work: the spot where I park my food cart, Heavenly Dogs, every day. This spot is near the Denver skate park, a good location with easily accessible highways all around. I love the development taking place in LoHi and love the area around 32nd and Tejon especially. I hung out in the area for 20 years of my life, and I like to see the changes taking place.

What are some of your local spots?

I love the skate park so much that I even hang out here when I am not working at Heavenly Dogs. I also love Lodo where I can park my car and just walk through the city. The Theater District is great; it’s up and coming and is a place where everything meshes in the city. I enjoy the street art throughout and love how everything just blends together so well. Finally, I love how Denver never shuts down.
