Hi Rachmaan!  Can you introduce yourself to our readers? Tell us a bit about your background and how you started Rocky’s 5280 OTG? 

Here’s a little bit about me for those who don’t know me, I was born and raised in Colorado, mostly Denver. Born 1985 November 22^nd, son of Katherine Rose & Josiah McKinney, I am the 2nd  youngest of 3 sisters and 2 brothers, my mother’s favorite (lol), they might think differently. I now live in Aurora with my wife of 15 years and our 4 dogs and 1 cat, no kids but 4 doges equal to at least 1 kid lol. Not much to mention of schooling for I always knew I had a different path; it just took a while to locate it. As a kid I had a passion for basketball, real hoop dreams, but no ambition or drive to take school seriously. So, it was time for the workforce, I have had plenty of jobs from hardwood flooring, store clerk, relocation specialist (mover), and the list goes on. I started to settle my mind on this is what life is, and this is what it is going to be.

Then COVID hit and I got laid off from American Furniture, got a new job with Pepsi and I do not drink soda, so the light bulb came on; it is time to take a chance on myself and do something I believe in, for me! I had no clue what this “chance” was going to be but then one day I was making my lunch; vegetable bag, orange, bananas, yogurt, P3 pack, and of course one of my homemade smoothies. Every Monday I would prep my smoothies, enough to last my entire work week, which is when it hit me. Working for Pepsi, there are a lot of sales tactics used that would make me uncomfortable, such as buying four 12 packs for $10, buying one two-liter get a second free, and many more. This made me think, “I can provide a beverage that people will love to consume, but it will not be so unhealthy!” Ding, Ding, Ding, gameshow bells, “it’s your smoothies silly!” I can sell smoothies and juices!
