What neighborhood do you live in?
Specifically, we live in Mayfair Park, smack dab between Crestmoor and Lowry.
Why did you choose Mayfair to live in & do business in?
Our first home was in Mayfair. While I loved living off Colfax and the development going on there, my husband and I wanted something a little less busy so we chose Mayfair Park. We were attracted to the older brick homes and long, winding streets, perfect for little kids learning to ride a bike. 😉
I shoot all over town, a lot by Crestmoor, Lowry and Wash Park. We have the most beautiful backdrops with all of Metro Denver parks, it’s fun to find new locations.
What about this neighborhood jives with your business culture?
I have been lucky to develop friendships with a lot of my clients. I love going to my local coffee shop with my family on weekends and running into clients. It feels very much like home, a community.
What are your favorite local places?
You will often find me working at Steep or playing with my kids in Crestmoor Park, eating out at Park Burger or getting ice cream in Lowry.
What do you love about Denver?
My happy place is Red Rocks, but I have to say I love most everything about Denver! Both my husband and I are from here. He went to Manual HS and I went to South. We are both fiercely proud of this city, bleed orange and blue, and consider ourselves lucky to call Denver home and raise our boys in such a beautiful place.
So, you are from Colorado…
I am 4th generation! My grandmother went to East High School and my dad graduated from George Washington.
How would you describe the personality or “vibe” of Denver? Mayfair?
One of my most favorite things about Denver is the people. You won’t find nicer people and I’m very proud of that.
How would you describe your personality?
I’m a very proud mama of two wild and sweet boys. Some might say I’m pretty silly, but you have to be trying to get genuine smiles from the kiddos at photoshoots!
Why are you passionate about your business? What’s the story?
I love capturing the moments in family life. While there is always a time for posed family photos, those aren’t always the most representative of that time in our lives. One day, your son will no longer think you hung the moon and I love catching the way he looks at you when he’s little. Or getting a beautiful image of your daughter in her favorite mismatched outfit that she refuses to take off. I am passionate about capturing those candid moments of childhood and between parents, their kiddos and siblings. That’s the good stuff!
What inspired the look of your business/ the design?
I wanted something whimsical, much like childhood itself.
