What Neighborhood do you live in?

Paramount Heights in the Applewood part of Wheat Ridge

Why did you choose the neighborhood you live in?

We love the mountain views, parks and lakes. The biggest draw for us is the housing architecture — I don’t think people realize there are so many mid-century modern style houses here! Then again, it’s kind of a hidden neighborhood still. It’s equidistant to the Highlands/Tennyson/Denver restaurants and the peaceful relaxation of the mountains — it really doesn’t get much better. We use Crown Hill Lake with its wildlife refuge and we love that it’s close to Morrison and Red Rocks Amphitheater. Plus, it’s just a hop from I-70, Hwy 6 and C-470 freeways. This area is beautiful, peaceful and has a great family-friendly vibe – and super welcoming neighbors!  Finally, we like living close to our family in Golden.

The Cabinet Face makes custom doors for IKEA®’s cabinets. The beauty of IKEA® is that they give you the flexibility of purchasing some of their pieces without doors. That means you can add our beautiful custom doors to their system and achieve the design and style you want at a fraction of the cost. Imagine stepping into your new kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, or living room and seeing it lined with stunning custom built cabinets. For most people, doing so was cost prohibitive … until now.

What do you love about Applewood and Wheat Ridge?

How quickly we can get to the Highlands or be in the mountains. Once people catch on to that little secret this place is going to go gangbusters. We can’t wait for more restaurants to find out about our area! We also love the vibe… the mid-century modern feel, open spaces, family friendly, easy access to the city without the hustle bustle and generally awesome people!

How would you describe the personality or “vibe” of Applewood?

Applewood is a really beautiful and peaceful part of Denver. The area and space still feels pretty wide open, and the houses were given nice spacious yards which you rarely see anymore. Our neighborhood has it’s own Facebook page, we have a monthly get together called Flamingo Fridays, it’s just full of good people who want to be a part of a community and make it a better place. These days that’s hard to find; especially in the big city.

We love it!!
